Sustainable Kimberley is a registered nonprofit society based in Kimberley, BC working to improve our community's urban core through sustainable practices.
We collaborate with local residents, businesses, governments and schools to design, develop and implement projects in and around our town.
Our work is guided by our core values: sustainability, community, transparency and inclusivity.
Sustainable Kimberley Society was founded in 2020 by Andrew Bond with the support of an enthusiastic group of Kimberley residents.
Founder and Director
Andrew is an expert in urban planning and green building. He worked as leader of sustainable operations for the municipality of Wood Buffalo, AB before moving to Kimberley. More about Andrew.

Pamela is experienced in nonprofit outreach and programming. She founded Mountain Phoenix Community Culture Society and sits at the Board of Directors of JCI Kootenay, Kimberley Seniors Project Society and Columbia Outdoor School.

Kris is a tech entrepreneur, paramedic and Japanese martial arts teacher. He contributes strategic planning, fundraising and financial skills, as well as his creativity in problem-solving.

Elizabeth Arif is an environmental scientist and avid outdoorswoman with a passion for sustainability and youth mental health. She has experience in research, environmental consulting, GHG accounting and project leadership.

Kyle is an outstanding volunteer for our 10 Thousand Trees and Plenty of Plants Project. He's a counsellor at the City of Kimberley and service dog trainer. He also serves our community through Military Ames and Courageos Companions.
